Who Am I?

Yep, that's me up there.

Well, for starters, I am 33 years old. Sounds a bit young to some, a bit old to others, but I have lived a life time in those 33 years. No complaints though. All things in life have a purpose, and mine has brought me here.

I live in Minnesota now, but I have lived pretty much all over, from the Midwest to the Eastcoast. I currently work for Mayo Medical Center as an Associate Programmer.

A few of my hobbies/interests include: The Internet (Can you say.....JUNKIE!), Computers (Obviously! It kind of goes with above.), Writing, Music, Movies, and Role Playing.

My interest in computers is a long standing one. It seems to that I've had a computer around me for as long as I can remember. Well, maybe not as long as I can remember, but close enough. Over the years I have been involved in local BBSes, On-line Services, and the Internet for years. I've beta-tested software, Co-Sysoped on BBSes, help run areas of Role Playing and Poetry on Prodigy. I have also helped design websites and now I own a web hosting company (Shameless plug: All You Need Hosting).

I've been writing for as long as I can remember as well. I use to write songs for a local band, when I was a kid. They eventually broke up, but I continued to write. My graduating year of High School, I had a lot of my Poetry published in various Anthologies. I also write short stories, novels, etc... Someday, I might follow the dream, and see if I can get published again. Check out the Writer's Block. I plan on putting some of my poetry and other writings there, as well as those things sent to me for others to see.

Role Playing. I started Role Playing around the age of 11 or so. For someone who liked to write, this was a perfect outlet for some of my overly active imagination. I started out with the old boxed version of basic Dungeons & Dragons. If you're a Role Player, you remember it well. The old red box and the cheap dice that came with a crayon to color in the numbers. I stayed up all night reading those books. Role Playing has a special spot in my heart for me. You see, it was more than a game. My grandmother, the only real family I've ever had, bought that boxed set for me. She was a very special lady. I cherished each and every gift she ever got me. This particular gift has lasted a lifetime. She never attempted to criticize anything I ever did. She never tried to take away my dreams. In fact, she attempted to help them grow. She always believed in me. Anyway, I feel that every time I Role Play, I'm using the gift given to me by a very special person in my life. Enough on that. ;-} I Role Play AD&D and many other types of Role Playing games. I have a mini-library of Role Playing Games.

Well, that's a little bit about me. Nothing overly flashy. Nothing overly dramatic. Well, maybe that Role Playing bit was a little, but I tried to stop myself (heh heh). Feel free to continue to look around and enjoy yourself.
Oh, wondering where the picture of me on the piano is? It's still around. Click here to see it. ;-}
